Hey, by the way Alan, can you guys possibly come to Redmond Oregon? It would mean a lot to me; as I've wanted to meet you guys personally and to han out with you guys! You guys are awesome! 😄
You know, people could join you even if they don't have a Facebook account right? Cause when they get done memorizing, they could post their success on here, right?
Hey Alan! So I don't have a facebook but I am still going to take your challenge! I will be praying for all of the other contestants. James is my favorite book of the Bible so it's a good place to start:D
I like James too, the night before you guys put this up, i really felt like god wanted me to memorize something. I went to bed thinking "I wonder what part of the bible he wants me to memorize, I guess I will just let him take care of that" I woke up next morning and checked out the Anthem Light website and here it was Alan Challenge. I watched it and really knew it was it. I have been asking god for wisdom lately with everything and in James it talks a lot about wisdom :) i guess god had it planned all along :)
I don't have Facebook either, but I'm still gonna try:)
Speaking of the Bible, who is your favorite Bible character?(Besides Jesus) I think mine is Paul(Saul). Because for over the past year I believe, my family has been reading through the books he has written and I have found him very wise and inspirational. So who is your favorite Bible character?
Okay. I've been feeling a need to step up my faith and this is one of the ways I really feel God is calling me to do that. I'll admit I've never done something like this in my 15 years of walking with the Lord. Yes I've memorized scripture but not two verses per day. I would have been lucky to do two a week. But I'm ready now. The Lord is growing me and testing me and I'm ready. A year ago I wouldn't have been. Yesterday I wasn't ready but today this is what the Lord's calling me to and I'm excited to join this challenge! Thank you Alan for bringing us in on this.
@Beckah: My favorite Bible character would have to be Job. He was so strong in his faith! I yearn to be like that:) I have struggled with trials that made me turn from God. I HATE to say that but it's the sad truth. I want to be like Job. That is also why James 1:2 is one of my favorite verses. I agree I believe that Paul/Saul was very was and also very full of promise that even the most lost can come to God and be incredible for His kingdom. I'm so excited to hear everyone's progress at the end of the week. Thanks once again Alan!
My favorite bible charachter is David because he was a man after God's own heart and he was brave and he trusted God thru the tough times when Saul wanted to kill him, and he had a good friend to help him get away from Saul, his friend was Jonathan, ad Jonathan must have been pretty brave in order to sacrifice his own life to save David's. That is all. Thankyou.
